It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday. It is a day in which we reflect upon the past year and see how our lives have grown and changed. We remind ourselves that we should be thankful for the things we have, rather than be upset with ourselves for what we think we are missing. It is also about gratitude – showing our appreciation for what we have. So, this is our blog dedicated being thankful for everything that we have. Hope you enjoy!

Week 4: How To Keep Occupied
So, I just realized that this is currently my third week working at home. I’ve have missed some events that I look forward to every year such as Singer Songwriter down in Cape May and Tartan Week in New York City. It just doesn’t seem as though there is much to look forward to this year. Instead we need to focus on keep ourselves busy. I’ve come up with a plan to follow that allows us to do something besides wait for new shows on Netflix and Prime.
Veterans Day
It’s hard to believe, but Monday is Veterans Day. The month of November is almost halfway done, and it seems as though we have so much to do before Christmas. Saint Patrick’s Day
The day is approaching in which everyone is Irish! To some Saint Patrick’s Day is about parties and enjoying life to the fullest. 4th of July
The 4th of July is here! When America’s birthday hits, summer is about halfway over. Since both Parish Giving and John Patrick Publishing are closed the 4th, we decided to share what the holiday means to each of us. We all have different memories, and this is how we celebrate!
The Poppy Flower
Flowers are a springtime favorite. They add color to your landscape, and make long car rides more enjoyable when they grow wild along the road. Many flowers have a symbolic meaning to them as well: red roses are for love, purple hyacinths are for forgiveness, goldenrods are for encouragement and the red poppy are for remembrance. This is why the poppy is particularly popular this time of the year – to remember those who have fallen during a time of war on Memorial Day.
