Fish and Chips
This past Friday was crazy. My family and I suffered from Spring fever because the weather was a perfect 10. So instead of ordering a late lunch, we all decided that a nice take-out dinner from the Local would do the trick. We had a craving for their fish and chips, and it was finally satisfied.
Drunken Irish Fisherman Sandwich
Dunleavy’s in Hainesport, New Jersey, is a longtime advertiser in some of our church bulletins. They are a restaurant that has been around for decades and is a family favorite. This is the restaurant that I always take friends when they visit. I know there is something on the menu for everyone, and bonus, they do not add salt to their French fries which is great if you have British friends. Also, their burgers are legendary, especially their Hainesport burger with cheese fries.
I did not intend for Arby’s to be my first fish sandwich of the year. I was hoping I’d be able to enjoy a nice, buttery Chick-fil-a fish sandwich. I walk into the restaurant and approach the cashier only to be told that they are not offering it at their location this year. Luckily Arby’s is next door and I just walked over and picked up a fish n cheddar with some curly fries (no tartar sauce). Well here goes nothing!
