The day is approaching in which everyone is Irish! To some Saint Patrick’s Day is about parties and enjoying life to the fullest. To others it is a day to celebrate Saint Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland and numerous other countries. Pets at Christmas
Christmas is a special time of the year. We enjoy the traditions of baking cookies, decorating our Christmas trees and singing along to the songs on the radio. 4th of July
The 4th of July is here! When America’s birthday hits, summer is about halfway over. Since both Parish Giving and John Patrick Publishing are closed the 4th, we decided to share what the holiday means to each of us. We all have different memories, and this is how we celebrate!
The Poppy Flower
Flowers are a springtime favorite. They add color to your landscape, and make long car rides more enjoyable when they grow wild along the road. Many flowers have a symbolic meaning to them as well: red roses are for love, purple hyacinths are for forgiveness, goldenrods are for encouragement and the red poppy are for remembrance. This is why the poppy is particularly popular this time of the year – to remember those who have fallen during a time of war on Memorial Day.
