It is difficult to believe that this is the last full week of September. It was a month in which numerous decisions needed to be made for school, religious education, and other activities. Parish Giving was here to help each parish with their individual needs. We wanted to share our recap to show how we are able to help even when it is difficult to see that light at the end of the tunnel.
School
This was the first thing that needed to be conquered. Schools wanted to make sure that both students and staff are in a safe and healthy environment. Students wanted to go back and see their friends, and Parish Giving wanted to help schools have a successful year. The Catholic Schools that we provide tuition payment programs for have all gone back to the classroom. Most of them have elementary and middle schools in class 5 days a week. High School is a hybrid – ½ a week in school and ½ a week online.
Religious Education
This was another challenge for parishes during the summer months. How should we set up our RE plan for the 2020-2021 school year? We all hope that during the academic year a vaccine will be safely administered to all American’s, but in the meantime, life must go on. Our team was able to create online registration for RE payment if the school wished. Parents could select if they wanted their child(ren) to learn at school or virtually. It was that easy. The school could then proceed and make sure each student was taken care of according to the online form. To overcome this trial, we assisted our parishes by offering 3 different types of sign up options for RE:
In Class – our module system and forms provided limits on the number of students that could sign up for a class. This option provided more classes for the parents to choose from when signing up.
Hybrid – this is probably the most popular. Once a month, families meet up and discuss RE as a group. Most of the learning is done at home, but there is still face to face instruction for a short amount of time.
Online – since many students are still learning online, many parishes feel as though this is a vital option for many families. This also allows families to dictate what day works best for them to complete the weekly assignments (and perhaps even move ahead!).
Christmas Fundraisers
As much as we cannot believe September is almost over, we are having an even more difficult time believing that the holiday season is upon us! That does mean that parishes are putting together different fundraisers and social distancing events for their parishioners. We have custom sign-up sheets for each and every need! Email us at info@parishgiving.org to find out how we can help!
We want to thank everyone who has used Parish Giving this year! It has been a crazy and unprecedented time, but we do hope we made it a bit easier for all of our parishes to handle! Please let us know how we can assist your church to meet their needs with online forms and payments! Contact us today for your custom online sign-up forms for each and every need!
