July is just on the horizon; it’s almost here! That means it is almost America’s birthday! Living so close to America’s birthplace, we thought we’d share some FREE things to do to celebrate our nation’s 243rd birthday in Philadelphia! These are some of the ideas that we came up with!
Museum of the American Revolution
Between June 29th and July 7th there are special programs at the museum! They have a “Declaration Wall” in which they encourage guests to write special personalized messages on. They also have an exhibit on flag making, along with other Independence Day crafts for visitors.

Free Museums!
That’s right! You can save some money AND enjoy a museum for FREE! Here is a short list of some museums that are offering free admission on July 1st! Be sure to book your ticket early as many sell out!

Wawa Hoagie Day!
Even though hoagies weren’t around when our forefather’s signed the Declaration of Independence, Wawa Hoagie Day has been around for over 25 years! It’s a great way to have a free lunch with the family! It’s July 2nd from Noon until 2pm out front of the Constitution Center.
The Philly Pops!
Grab your blanket or lawn chair and go to Independence Hall and listen to the Philly Pops! It’s a free concert from 7-9:30pm. Arrive early for a great seat!
