The 4th of July is here! When America’s birthday hits, summer is about halfway over. Since both Parish Giving and John Patrick Publishing are closed the 4th, we decided to share what the holiday means to each of us. We all have different memories, and this is how we celebrate!

Don’t Take the Remembrance out of Memorial Day
This is the first normal Memorial Day we have had in two years. Last year we were not able to observe the holiday as it deserved. Masses were scaled down, parades were cancelled, and cookouts were with the people in your household. For me, it made me realize how important of a holiday Memorial Day really is. This year let’s put the remembrance back into the holiday by honoring those who have fallen for our country.

Labor Day
Labor Day is quickly approaching. It’s the unofficial end of summer and the beginning of the school year. To most of us, that is what Labor Day means. But what does it signify? To each person that is different. Here at Parish Giving, Labor Day means something different to each person. Here is what it means to some:
Memorial Day
Upon recently glancing at my calendar I saw that Memorial Day weekend is upon us! The weather is warm, cookouts are a nightly event and we are finally able to wear our favorite summer clothing and sandals. This also means a busy weekend is ahead of us: parades, services for fallen soldiers and a family bar-be-que. Can’t wait!
